This week I focused on creating an animation for the fire coming out of the thruster. I wanted to have a smooth animation that gave the fire life, allowing the player to see a fun moving object on the screen; the rest of the screen will have minimal animations and simply be static objects moving around the screen. I aim to have this animation playing the whole time that the thruster is firing, as it is able to loop, as well as a smaller start up animation that shows the fire building up.

Each of the frames of the animation are below.

Thruster Fire Animation

I will get Unity to swap between each of these frames during the update function for the thruster fire object, however, I have combined them into a gif so that the result is clearly visible in this journal.
