All of the names in bold, discussed more below, are the ones that I feel communicate the core elements and themes of the game. All of the ones that I have chosen have words involving motion and this clearly gets across one of the main themes of the game, which is fast-paced arcade movement.
Clear representation of time travel, particularly travelling forwards in time. Gets across the idea of flying and, combined with rocket imagery, would communicate the core idea of flying a rocket into space. Unfortunately, the word “future” hints at travelling ahead of our current time, however, there are no future civilisations to be implemented, so this could be seen as misleading.
Nicely communicates the idea of the player riding a rocket, if combined with rocket imagery; however, does necessarily suggest that they will be moving the rocket themselves. There is a nice inclusion of relativity here, which suggests to the player that they will be using relativity in some way. The idea of “riding” relativity is also fun, because it gives this feeling of riding a time-travel wave.
Quickly gets across the idea of travelling to different eras, therefore hinting that time travel will be involved. It also suggests that the player will be able to interact with these eras, and the civilisations in some way, however, it does not say how. The second word, “evade”, also makes it obvious early on that there will likely be mechanics about avoiding obstacles in some way. This name should be accompanied by imagery of cityscapes, in some way, and a rocket.
Establishes early on that the game will involve space-time travel, which suggests that time travel, in a more scientifically accurate way, will be included. This efficiently gets across the idea of one of the main elements of the game: using general relativity to travel through time. The last word, “slip”, suggests a form of movement and hints at the idea of the player controlling a moving object and slipping between obstacles. This name, as opposed to the others, also suggests that the playing through space as well as time. The imagery around the name should be cohesive with this, utilising more scientifically accurate space travel and time travel iconography, but should also include civilisations in some way because the name itself does not communicate this.
