What made you want to make games?
- My original love for games came from Zelda
- Solving puzzles and exploring a beautiful world
- Made me want to provide that experience to others: building rich worlds for people to explore
- This developed into a love for developing mechanics, as I really enjoy playing with game systems
- I love creating systems for other people to experiment with and even express themselves with play
How did you get to where you are now in game development?
- My journey is a strange one
- Started in a computer science degree
- Was also doing a lot of self-taught art on the side
- Realised that I enjoy designing games so I switched to fully study games design
What is Space-Time Slip
- A space game
- About a rocket that is able to time travel by escaping the Earth’s gravitational field
- Core gameplay is about managing fuel and avoiding objects flying towards the rocket
- As the player escapes the gravitational pull of Earth, they go forwards in time and are able to then visit different civilisations throughout history by returning to Earth
- The game includes upgrades which can be purchased from these civilisations, which will drastically change how the game plays
Why did you choose to make Space-Time Slip into a mobile game?
- I wanted to make something addictive, that is very easy to pick up and play
- It’s a natural fit for mobile devices
